The main task of every botanical garden consists in the collection of a great variety of plants, expressly divided into categories and species, with the aim to allow their observation and study.

For this reason the Botanical Garden of Padova hosts 3500 different species, that intend to represent, obviously in a reduced scale, a significant part of the Plant Kingdom.
